Discussing the Blessings and Challenges of Multifaith Families
Welcoming your child’s partner into your family is an exciting and potentially nerve-racking moment in your life. How will they blend in? What will your relationship look like? The moment can be even more nuanced when your child’s partner comes from a different faith or tradition.
Facilitated by Rabbi Fel, Temple Emanu-El’s newest affinity group, B’Ahavah - With Love, seeks to create a safe and welcoming environment to discuss the blessings and challenges of creating multifaith, multigenerational families.
How do we as Jews attend to our dead? Who does it? What are the beliefs that underpin these rituals? How might we create meaningful experiences and rituals as we care for our loved ones at the end of their lives?
