Accessibility at Temple Emanu-El

At Temple Emanu-El, we believe that every person is created in God’s image and should feel equally welcomed and included in our community. We are constantly striving to become more inclusive, welcoming, and accessible.  While we take pride in the progress we’ve made, we know there is always more to do. We invite you to explore the accommodations we provide and encourage you to reach out with any specific needs or suggestions.

General Accessibility Requests

Do you have an accessibility request or concern that we have not already addressed? If so, please contact the Temple office at 401.331.1616, and  we will do our best to accommodate your request.

Accessible Entrances

Accessible entrances can be found in three locations.

Accessible Parking

Accessible parking is available on a limited basis. If you need accessible parking or have other parking concerns, please reach out to the Temple office.

Accessible Restrooms

Restrooms with accessible stalls can be found in the  lobby below the Main Sanctuary, as well as in the Franklin Wing Hallway.

Gender Neutral Restrooms

Gender neutral restrooms can be found in the Franklin Wing Hallway, near the office, containing accessible stalls as well.

Audio Assistance

Head sets are available in the Main Sanctuary for people who need audio assistance. Ask an usher for assistance.

Changing Tables

Changing tables can be found in the women’s and men’s restrooms in the lobby below the Main Sanctuary.

Large Print

Large print prayer books are available for use during services. Ask an usher for assistance.

Live Streaming

If you are unable to come to the Temple but would still like to participate in services, we invite you to view the Livestream of our services via our Temple website. To view the services, go to our “CONNECT ON-LINE” page. The Livestream service will be available for the Main Sanctuary, Alperin Meeting House, and Soulful Services.

Stroller Parking

Stroller parking is available in the coat room near the Bohnen Vestry, as well as the coat room near the Goldberg Center.

TE Tech Team

If you will be participating from home and need technical assistance, call the Temple office prior to the holidays to arrange for our Tech Team to help you get connected.
